The truly mexican drink.

Know the mezcal A-B-C

Mezcal is the mother of Tequila. It takes years of caring for the agave, to pursue its good health and patiently endure a decade of rain and sun before it can be harvested.

Mezcal means centuries of tradition. Mezcal is the identity of an entire people, it is the heritage and legacy of those who have departed. Mezcal is to be enjoyed. Mezcal brings joyfulness and happiness to people.

Mezcal VS Tequila

TEQUILA

Any time an agave-based distillate is made, it is called mezcal; thus, all tequilas qualify. Tequila is a region, like Cognac or Chianti. Tequila is only produced in some municipalities of the States of Jalisco, Michoacan, Nayarit and Tamaulipas and is made with blue agave only.

MEZCAL

Mezcal is a much more artisanal, handcrafted drink. It can be produced in 8 States: Guanajuato, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Durango, San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas and Michoacan and is made from a large variety of wild and cultivated agaves. The clichéd notion of worms in the bottle has no place in a serious conversation on true mezcal, only a marketing trick that has overshadowed the spirit itself in recent years.
Both mezcal and tequila share similar production processes, however, the production of tequila is, more often than not, industrial, whereas the traditional mezcales making processes are entirely artisanal. Of course – Buen Suceso is a traditional mezcal.
